OUR STORY

In the '90s, James had a fun hobby of customizing vehicles to adapt to his customers' lifestyles. That turned into a lifelong and passionate career. And now it has an added focus on upgrading older vehicles into the modern era and helping to save his customer's money. His earlier professional work at Best Buy in 2003 allowed him to learn many valuable lessons and develop strong relationships with customers. In 2011, he left Best Buy to be a part-owner at ACT Audio, bringing with him his loyal customers, his core values, and his love for helping customers obtain the lifestyle they want from their vehicles.

My name is Steve, I am 28 years old and have been customizing cars since I was 16. Whether it’s my personal vehicles or my friends asking for help with their vehicle I've always enjoyed the art of it! I been doing vehicle wrapping for the past 5 year and have no plans of stopping. On my days off you will find me exploring new areas or at home working on new DIY projects. I look forward to helping you customize your vehicle to your liking!

Hey, my name is David.  I joined the team here as an automotive window tinter and to further my skills as an electronics technician.  I've been working on cars since I was about 10 years old, learning how to do breaks and other mechanical basics.  Now, I am learning everything I can about every aspect of automotive customization as I possibly can.  So at my core, I'm just a gear head who can't sit still and likes having any excuse to work on a car.  You'll always find my stuck under a friend's car or under the hood of something.  So come pay us a visit and see just what we can do to help you build your own dream ride.

Hi, I’m Michael Tracy and I’m the lead technician at ACT Audio. I graduated from R.I.T.O.P. in

2004 with my MECP Certification and started working at Pirate Radio in Vernon CT in 2005. Since then, I’ve worked at different shops from Connecticut to Florida until coming back to work at ACT Audio in 2020. I love the challenges my job brings from troubleshooting to fabrication and everything in between. One of my favorite cars is a 2001 Acura Integra Type R. On my time off, I enjoy watching football, baseball and hockey. I love to get in 18 holes when I get the chance and if I had to eat the same thing for the rest of my life, It would definitely be steak pizzaiola. Hope I get a chance to work on your car soon !

Hi, my name is Ethan Deer, I joined the team at ACT Audio 2 years ago when I was still in high

school as a breathalyzer technician, learning as much as I could while continuing my education. I made my way up to the 12 Volt technician position soon after I graduated in 2020 as well as becoming MECP certified, and then took a course to become a certified detailer. I’ve always had a passion for cars and wanted to pursue a career in the automotive industry. Another passion of mine is motorcycles and motorcycle audio. After the first motorcycle system I did here at the shop, I knew I wanted to focus as much time as I could into learning more about motorcycle audio systems. One of my main goals in life is to own my own motorcycle with the kind of systems I love installing so I can enjoy it for myself.
